Adult Bible Studies are on-going throughout the year. Some begin new sessions in the fall, others are open to join at any time. There are also short-term Bible Studies offered periodically throughout the year.
Developing a Wholesome Heart
Many people suffer from one of two emotional extremes: some are out of control, their emotions keeping them on a constant roller coaster ride and in a constant state of turmoil. On the other extreme are people who try to deny their emotionality; they think the key to emotional happiness is to become non-emotional. Both extremes are faulty; balance is the key.
This class presents a practical, biblical perspective on human emotionality. We'll discuss the seven primary, painful emotions (hurt, anger, fear, guilt, false guilt, condemnation and stress) and learn how to negotiate them. We'll also introduce ten positive emotions that will lead to emotional happiness and stability.

Disciple IV: Under the Tree of Life
This study of the Writings; the Gospel of John; 1, 2, 3 John; James; Jude; and Revelation. Emphasis is on praying the Psalms and on living toward the promise pictured in Revelation. Homework required. Leader and time TBD.

Ladies' Tuesday Morning Study
"I have never met a person whose goal was to ruin his or her life. We all want to be happy, and we want it all of the time." The problem is, we have bought into false notions of happiness and success. Eventually we find ourselves living a beautifully packaged life of self-destruction. Following the Sermon on the Mount, this study guides us to look behind these character flaws and to replace our false beliefs with Jesus' narratives about life in the kingdom of God.

"Here and Now, There and Then" by Beth Moore
Ladies, join us for this study of the book of Revelation. Beth presents many points of view, allowing women to decide for themselves when the interpretation varies among scholars. She teaches that God is as specific about what He does reveal as He is about what He does not reveal. The class requires light homework. Childcare is provided.
